Dynamic Processor with Attitude! Introduced in the early 1970s, the Omnipressor® was the first dynamic effects processor of any kind. Originally invented by Eventide founder Richard Factor (and later redesigned for production by John Paul), the Omnipresssor enabled a range of effects. It provided variable control of all aspects of dynamic modification. It also introduced the concept of 'sidechaining' and previously described techniques that we give today as 'look ahead' processing. The Omnipressor plug-in is a faithful emulation of the "blackface" unit and is popular with the world's leading producers and engineers as a dynamics switcher with variable expressive controls of all aspects of a signal's dynamics. Function control, compression and expansion ratios in a wide range
One of our first customers was young Brian May, lead guitarist for Queen. His voice was never the same while on the Omnipressor.
Features
- Dynamic processing to create other sounds - Attack and release time variable control - Variable control of maximum gain and maximum attenuation - Function control, dynamic reverse from extreme expansion to infinite compression and beyond adjusts the rate in a continuous range up to spin. signals whose blend and amplitude fall below the blend value are 'crushed' - Expansion: Expands the dynamic range of a signal. Loud sounds louder, soft sounds softer - Compression: Variable control of compression ratio - Infinite compression: Destroys the dynamics of a signal - everything comes out at the same level - Limiting: Versatile, fast limiting - Dynamic Inversion: The first of its kind. Soft signals become loud, loud signals become soft. Simulates tape reversal - Intuitive interface makes operation easy with a function dial - Dozens of presets to help you discover the unique and inspiring sounds of the instrument used on countless hit records
