Photomatix Pro combines photos taken at varying exposure levels into a single HDR image that reveals both highlight and shadow details, with options to automatically align handheld photos, remove ghosts, and reduce noise and chromatic aberration. Composited images can be adjusted with a variety of options and settings to achieve the look users desire, from natural-looking results using exposure fusion to painterly, surreal or ultra-realistic images using the tone mapping mode.
Features
- Compositing with HDR, Tone Mapping and Exposure Fusion - Automatic alignment of hand-held photos - Automatic Ghosting and Selective Deghosting tool - Options for real estate photography - Automation with Batch Processing Benefits for professional photographers: - Saving money on lighting equipment. No expensive lighting equipment (and carrying it) is necessary when shooting high-contrast scenes. Just enable your camera's Auto Exposure Bracketing feature and let Photomatix combine your photos into one image with extended dynamic range. - Great photos on cloudy days. Hazy sunlight or cloudy skies without shadows often result in dull-looking photos. Photomatix's tone mapping tool can turn them into great-looking images. Check out this image as an example. - Time savings in post-processing. Photomatix Pro is designed for efficiency – automatic blending, unlimited stacking, easy comparison of results and batch processing save hours of masking and layers in image editing programs. - Well-exposed panoramas. A panoramic scene is almost always a high-contrast scene - when shooting a 360° panorama you can't limit your view to areas of the same brightness. By taking views under several exposures and processing them in Photomatix Pro, you can create a panorama that will show detail in both dark and light areas of the scene. Photomatix Pro offers both exposure fusion (also known as exposure blending) and HDR tone mapping. More styling options for realistic results A new HDR style called Tone Balancer gives you more options to achieve a realistic look. You can access it via the 'Realistic' preset. Thinning with more control over color With the new interactive Brush and Lasso tools, you can make color changes in just parts of the image by painting over those areas. You can also adjust the saturation, hue, and brightness of individual colors. Blending options You can blend your original photo with the HDR image to get a more realistic look. You can also use the brush and lasso tools to blend or replace certain areas with the original or to use it in another exposure from the bracketed set. Straightening Tool If the horizon is not straight or vertical objects such as buildings are not vertical, you can quickly straighten your photo and solve perspective problems. The tool is part of the Finishing Touch palette.
