MacLinguist is a fast translator for Mac and Windows that shows a translation pop-up for any text selected by double-pressing the "Control" key on the keyboard in any application on the system. The linguist can also replace the currently selected text with a translation by pressing an Option (Alt) key. Linguist supports more than 40 languages.
How Linguist Works
After pressing the control button twice, Linguist reads the text of the element currently under the mouse cursor. It can be text in any arbitrary application: a paragraph of text in Safari, text on a system button, or even a menu item in the Menu Bar. The linguist can even translate filenames – just hover your mouse over a file in Finder! If you prefer only a certain section of text to be translated, simply select that section of text and press the Control button twice. Most OS
Mac Linguist can replace the currently selected text with a translation; Just press the Option (Alt) key while holding down the Control button.
By default, Linguist translates any of 40 supported languages (automatically detects the language of the text) into your current system language, but you can easily select another target language into which you want Linguist to translate texts.
