QLab lets you control audio, video and MIDI from a single workspace. The basic version of QLab is free and provides a powerful audio playback environment. For advanced users, licenses are available to enhance audio features and add video and MIDI functionality. It's designed to make you faster. We've worked hard to create an intuitive environment for making your designs. Need to fix the head and tail of that tip? Just bring up the waveform editor and drag your start and end points. Want your video rotated horizontally and centered on the second projector? Click, drive, done. Cut and paste tips into new workspaces or even external spreadsheets. Decided you didn't like this adjustment? No problem, you can undo anything. What is QLab? QLab® operates shows of all sizes around the world. From intimate stores to movie theaters that reach billions of people around the world, QLabs are the tools designers rely on to bring their live shows to life. Flexible, reliable and easy to learn, QLab is the industry standard for a reason. What does QLab do? QLab makes it easy to create complex light, sound and video designs that you play back during a live performance. QLab lets you lock in exactly how you want lighting, sound, and video to play out during your performance. When the design is finished, you will go to “show mode” and run your show by pressing the “GO” button. What makes QLab different? QLab is specifically designed to meet the needs of live events such as theatre. Each night, the showrunner can react to what's happening on stage, such as waiting for a scene to end before triggering a scene transition, or even handling the situation where an actor accidentally skips a few lines and jumps forward. QLab can react dynamically to what's happening on stage or can be programmed to play exactly the same way every night. Most shows will be a mix of both. Who uses QLab? There's a good chance you can find QLab at your favorite local theater. You'll also see it on Broadway, in the West End, and in churches, sports stadiums, and museums. From high school students to seasoned professionals, QLab is what they use to put on the show.
