Scudo is a hybrid firewall for macOS that combines an inbound network layer packet filter with an outbound application layer firewall. Scudo helps protect your Mac's network services from unwanted connections from remote computers and allows you to choose which application is allowed to connect to the network, improving your privacy and security by controlling all applications' network activity.
Everything is controlled in one window, it's really simple and safe to use. Scudo uses a new technology to identify processes and applications: signature fingerprinting. Therefore, we are always sure that only original applications are allowed to connect. If an authorized application is modified, hacked, or tampered with, Scudo notifies you that it has blocked it. Additionally, a real-time app connection monitor lets you check all network activity on your Mac. Derived from Murus and Vallum, there is a detailed PDF booklet included in the package and is a simpler and friendlier alternative to these.
