Info
It's useful to pay attention to your Mac's hardware and resource usage, but there's no accessible way to do this without third-party utilities. Stats is an open source application designed to help you monitor temperature, voltage, power consumption, battery level, and overall resource usage from the menu bar. It is fully configurable, unobtrusive and very easy to use.
Features
Menu bar system monitor After installing the app, only a few readings will be available by default. You can add more from the settings and they will all be displayed as separate icons in the menu bar. Naturally, you can move them freely and access additional information by clicking on any of the readings. Wide range of parameters Monitor CPU, RAM, disk, and network usage can be observed fairly easily even without a third-party application, while Statistics makes the process much simpler. The app really comes into its own if you're interested in the temperature, voltage, and power draw of various components. You can choose which sensors you want to monitor, so you don't get overwhelmed with unnecessary data. Lots of customization options In addition to choosing what you want to track, you can choose from several legend styles, show or hide labels (which can help with reading visibility), and set your preferred update interval. Sensor monitors cannot be customized very much. The only thing you can change is the update interval, and multiple readings are grouped into a single icon, which may not be preferred for everyone. Stats doesn't offer as many features as some of its competitors, but it's worth remembering that this is a completely open source and free app. It's also under active development, so we can expect to see more features and improvements in the future.
