Explore all tasks (processes) running on your Mac with TaskExplorer. Instantly see the task's signature status, installed dylibs, open files, network connection and more! Tasks can be filtered using the 'Filter Tasks' search box located in the top right corner of the app. Start typing to filter all tasks by their name, path, or pid. For example, typing 'Chrome' will only show tasks that contain 'Chrome' in their name or path. TaskExplorer also includes special 'hash tag' filters that can filter tasks based on concepts such as 'all non-Apple (3rd party) tasks' or 'all unsigned tasks' (see the 'Searching and Filtering' section below for details). The task pane at the top of each row contains the task's icon, name, process ID (pid), and path. The lock icon next to the name of the task indicates whether the task is submitted to Apple
or to a third party (but still signed) 
or unsigned 
. There are various informational and actionable buttons on the right side of each mission's row. These buttons provide information about the item's VirusTotal (antivirus) scan results, general information about the task, and the ability to view the item in Finder.
Task explorer automatically queries VirusTotal with the hash of the binary to retrieve any information. When querying VirusTotal, this button displays '■ ■ ■'. Once the query is completed, the name of the button is automatically updated with the detection rate or a '?' . If the binary virus is unknown to VirusTotal.
