Meet the Nuggets, a fragile and wacky breed that relies on your leadership to create, explore, and advance. Help them, and soon they will begin to write their own history in the stars. Each Nugget is a unique individual with its own unique characteristics. Like other creatures, Nuggets must have access to several vital resources to survive. These include water to drink, food to eat, and recreational activities that will increase their happiness and quality of life. Recreational activities may include blowing air. You were warned.
As you spend time with Nuggets, you will see them behave like natural, living creatures. They have their own thoughts and needs - they can even make their own decisions at times. We want to make you feel like you're interacting with a living organism, almost like you're dealing with a chaotic ant farm.

The planets in The Universim are not just a group of carefully arranged objects; Everything is interconnected and plays a unique role in each planet's ecosystem. Every tree your civilization cuts down, every resource they own, and every animal they hunt will affect the world they live in. The absence of trees and high pollution levels will increase global temperature over time; extinction of some species. It's your job to manage how Nuggets collects and uses resources. What mark will you leave on ecosystems that existed millions of years before your arrival? Will you use all available resources and expand at an unprecedented pace, or will you steadily create a more sustainable lifestyle for your civilization?

Nature as you know it
Nature at University is as wonderful and unpredictable as ever. Each planet comes with surprises that are sure to challenge your civilization. From hurricanes that consume everything in their path to thunderous earthquakes that threaten to split your civilization in two. It can show you how cruel and unforgiving nature can be if you treat it badly. Every planet you encounter will have a unique underbelly. Some planets are calm and brimming with resources, while others are barren and dangerous. Be careful out there!
Something as simple as the cycle between night and day can play an important role. Wild animal attacks are more common at night, as are frequent temperature drops. Daytime offers a little more security from the harshness of the earth. With the addition of a full cycle of four seasons, a planet's biomes can change dramatically, making it very difficult for Nuggets to experience brutal winters without being prepared ahead of time.
