Trimma is the easiest way to quickly trim videos without any hassle. No project creation like in iMovie, no weird export settings that change the resolution of the video.
1. Open the video
2. Add cuts to quickly remove unwanted parts
– quickly scroll through your video or use cursor keys for precise steps
– use toolbar buttons or A/S hotkeys to quickly add/remove interrupts.
– adding a break to the red area will terminate the red area at the current position
3. Choose an export preset
– Migration – keep original encoding, small files stay small, export is incredibly fast
– HEVC – High Efficiency Video Codec uses the power of h265 to encode video into a small file. Great for sharing with other Mac / iOS Users!
– AVC – Advanced Video Codec uses the power of h264 and also creates small video files. Files are not as small as in HEVC, but compatibility with older systems is better
– Thumbnail – Single free preset. Creates a small video with low quality. It is fast at exporting and gives an idea of what to expect from the export.
4. Exporting – yes, it really doesn’t get any more complicated
