X Lossless Decoder (XLD) is a macOS tool that can decode/convert/play a variety of 'lossless' audio files. Supported audio files can be split into some parts by cue sheet during decoding. XLD supports the following formats:

(Ogg)FLAC (.flac/.ogg)
Monkey Sound (.ape)
Wav package (.wv)
TTA (.tta)
Apple Lossless (.m4a) [10.4 and later]
TAK (.tak) [Requires wine]
Abbreviation (.shn) [SHN v3 only]
AIFF, WAV, etc.

Other formats supported by Libsndfile can also be decoded. XLD uses the library to decode, not the decoder frontend, so no intermediate files are created. All supported formats can be split directly with the cue sheet. XLD also supports "embedded" or "internal" cue sheet. Currently you can choose the output format from WAVE, AIFF and Raw PCM. You can also choose Ogg Vorbis (aoTuV), MPEG-4 AAC (QuickTime/CoreAudio), MP3 (LAME), Apple Lossless and FLAC in the GUI version.
