Fates of Ort, is a retro-inspired fantasy RPG with a focus on strategic action and a story driven by your decisions. It is a story of sacrifice and difficult choices in a world threatened with destruction by the greedy power of the magic of consumption. Magic is powerful, but it is not free. Every spell you cast requires a little bit of your life energy to spark it. Cast enough spells and you will destroy your soul. This means you need to be strategic when fighting, balancing the cost of the spell with the risk of taking damage from your enemies. How each spell manifests in the world depends on which divine power you choose to combine it with. For example, the Evoke Force spell causes the ground to explode with a series of sharp ice crystals, strike with thunderous lightning, or barrage the ground with a meteor shower, depending on what the spell is combined with. Use the magical spells at your disposal to defeat the demons pouring from the underworld. In Ort, time freezes when you stand still. This means you have the opportunity to plan your attacks and be strategic. Like any RPG, you will kill enemies to collect loot and experience. The items you acquire will enhance your magical abilities, although some come with curses... As you level up, you will learn additional magical spells that you can use against your enemies. The environment is diverse and vast, an open world for you to explore. Choose the order of quests you follow or explore to meet new characters. The final battle can be played at any time, but… Are you strong enough? Play as a novice wizard, challenged to take on the responsibility of saving the world and those important to you. Missions can be completed to access new areas, save and unlock allies, earn items and powers, and more. Replays are encouraged because small decisions can have lasting and significant consequences, leading to different game outcomes.
