- A living simulation : Starting with a few tanks and the most basic livestock animals, you will turn your aquarium into a huge metropolis filled with hundreds of guests, dozens of staff and a multitude of different aquatic life forms, each with their own special attention. Requirements.
- Design your exhibits : Megaquarium features almost 100 different marine species, including fish, sharks, crustaceans, corals, jellyfish, other invertebrates and even a turtle! You'll be spoiled for choice when designing, decorating and filling your tanks.
- The right staff for the job : You won't get very far without the right staff. Choose who to hire based on their abilities and future potential. Will you train a team of multidisciplinary staff or a team of super-focused experts? You need to weigh the pros and cons of each strategy and calculate which one is right for your aquarium.
- Research new animals and technology : As guests experience your shows, you'll earn points that you can assign to discover new animals and equipment. Continue to improve and expand your aquarium and work your way up to the most prestigious animals and shows in the aquarium industry.
- Manage your finances : The latest fish may look great, but have you considered the impact this will have on your aquarium's bottom line? Difficult animals may require hiring new staff, expensive fish food or supplements, and the best tanks are a hefty investment! To be successful as an aquarium curator, you need to master creativity and economy.
- Manage your guests : Keep your guests happy by providing seating, dining, beverage and toilet facilities. Then at the end of their visit, direct them to the gift shop to increase your earnings!
- Curator school : Start your career in campaign mode where you'll learn everything you need to know about designing and managing an aquarium. Each of the 10 levels challenges you to build an aquarium with unique gameplay conditions and objectives, while new features and concepts are explained along the way.
- Dive into the sandbox : Then explore the sandbox mode where you can find almost unlimited fish-related games with customizable settings and a random challenge generator!
- Easy to learn, hard to master : It's easy to run an inefficient aquarium. To truly grow and tackle your biggest challenges, you'll need a lateral thinking brain and attention to detail. Do you group your animals by food type, water quality, or something else entirely? Will you place your equipment in a central hub using pumps or should you spread out the area by zoning it? How do you optimize your layout so visitors can find your tanks and staff can access them easily?
