A unique specialization system allows players to customize their forces with special units, bonuses and abilities that reflect the strategies and mentalities of the various factions. A unique group of Commanders has been gradually unlocked, divided between Generals, Pilots and Captains in campaigns. These can be attached to specific units to provide unique bonuses to anything within command range. While good use of unit types and tactics remains the player's priority, clever use of Commanders can tip the balance in an offensive operation or take enough defense to turn the tide in his favour. Order of Battle: II. World War II, a unique supply system is an important factor that directly affects the combat efficiency of units. Landing on an enemy island without any support ships will prevent invasion forces from establishing a solid coastline and breaking your opponent's supply line, isolating their units and conducting flanking maneuvers. Add an intuitive in-game scenario editor, multiplayer support for up to 4 players via Hotseat or Slitherine's PBEM++ server system, and you have a game with unlimited replayability.
